Margaret Smith began her career at the Second City Theater in her hometown Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to New York City where she began to do stand-up comedy.
Smith won the "Best Female Comedienne" category of the 9th Annual American Comedy Awards and has made previous television appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."
Smith released her first CD "As It Should Be" in August 2000 and will star in her own special on Comedy Central.
