Kristy Swanson plays Simone Adler a fellow member of Ferris' role call class, and a well known source of the latest gossip. Born on 19 December 1969 in Mission Viejo, California, Kristy Swanson was 16 years old at the time of shooting. Probably best known for her title role in the film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Luke Perry, you may have also recognised her in another important cameo in another Hughes film. That's right, she was the Duckette in Pretty in Pink who claimed Ducky at the prom, when Andie went for Blaine. She made her television debut on the TV series Archie Bunker's Place and also appeared in Growing Pains and Valerie with FBDO co-star Edie McClurg (Grace). She apparently graduated from high school when she was 15 and convinced her parents at 16 that she was ready to move into her own place.
