The Movies of 1981

Movie-goers in 1981 were introduced to a whole set of heroes which they could worship -- Harrison Ford's
ragged archeologist Indiana Jones in "Raiders of the Lost Ark", Dudley Moore's loveable lush with a million
bucks "Arthur", and Mel Gibson's futuristic killer Mad Max in "The Road Warrior." Kathleen Turner and William
Hurt made it kinda hard to sit still with their super-sexy "Body Heat" and no one alive could escape the Vangelis
tune "Chariots of Fire" although many did escaped the movie.
